This is the blog of Outline, which is the Art and Design department of the Birmingham Metropolitan College. The blog will be regularly updated by members of staff to inform a wider audience about the department's activities.
Students were asked to observe and participate in the BBC's 'Dance with Dermot' Day.
The comic relief theme, this year, was... 'do something funny with your face'.
Students assisted make-up artists on Asian Network to make-up presenters.
Opportunities arose throughout the day for students to inter-act with celebrities as well as getting first hand experience of behind the scenes of a live production at the BBC.
Level 3 Theatre, Film & TV students from Outline joined Level 3 Year 2 students from the Fashion Lab at Millennium to collaborate on a fashion/film event.
It was a real privilege to work with the fashion students and their tutor Ellen Thomas.
The level one visit began with a bracing start on Crosby Beach, where students viewed Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place'. Continuing on to the Andy Warhol Exhibition at the Tate Gallery Liverpool, where the views outside, were almost as good as the work on display!
