Private View Night - Summer Show at Outline

Last Thursday Outline opened its doors to celebrate our students' achievements during the past academic year. Families and friends were invited to attend the private view of our Summer Show, where awards were given to high achieving students. A full list of all award winners can be accessed at the end of this post.
The Summer Show is exhibiting work from students on BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Art & Design (LAUNCH), BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design (EVOLVE), BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma and BTEC Level 4 Diploma Foundation Studies in Art & Design. The exhibition was very well received by all visitors, as the evening was busy throughout. Art students in the local paper

Our talented students got a mention in the Sutton Coldfield Observer on October 5th. The image features the fantastic portraits produced by the A-level Art students but all Art students put on a fabulous exhibition after only three weeks! Excellent work!

Marvellous Market at Outline

This week Outline opened it's doors to welcome family and friends to the Marvellous Market. On show and for sale was work produced by our students during the last three induction weeks. The exhibition was very well received by our visitors, all proceeds from the event will be going towards future exhibitions at Outline.

University level HND fine art course

The final exhibition of University level HND fine art students at the Minerva works in Birmingham where students presented their work prior to progression to Birmingham city University. Exhibiting again this year were several students from Brunei ,continuing an established link with Birmingham Metropolitan College.

Yellow week at Outline - Extended Diploma

During yellow week our Extended Diploma in Art & Design group was working on a week-long project, which was entitled "Up your Street". Based on research gathered by the students which was informed and inspired by their local surroundings, the group set about working on art and design outcomes, with the aim to showcase the work created to friends, families and fellow students in form of an exhibition at the end of the week.
Students specialising in different areas, such as fine art, visual communication, 3D and photography worked together in groups on a great range and variety of outcomes. The week was a great success and the work produced at a high standard. Many thanks to all students and staff involved.
